He was teacher, bursar, formator and he exercised his priestly ministry in Ribeirão Preto, Tupaciguara. Rio Claro, Ituiutaba. From 1977 he lived in Olimpia.
His intelligence was lively and he was always the first-rated in school. His charism was to make things simple and clear. He was called by his class mates “the rabbi”.
As teacher of philosophy he was admired by all his pupils. He taught Greek and several subjects of middle and high school , philosophy and theology.
In July 1966 he was almost killed when sucked away by the waves from the rocks where he was contemplating the sea. This accident caused a decline in his life’s health.
He began to live in Saint Olimpia where he gave all his spiritual attention to that parish. He was a zealous pastor, charged with cheerfulness and always ready to meet people who flocked to him.
