He was brilliant in executing his various ministries. He live in Milan, Capodistria, Piacenza and Verona where he was superior of the Stimmate.
From 1919 to 1934 he was general councillor. As a parish priest in S. Croce (Rome) he gave much pastoral impulse to the parish. From 1932 to 1935 he was director of the Udine College until the time of his nomination as bishop of Carpi (Modena). He led that diocese for 5 years and then he was transferred to Trento. He governed the diocese of St Vigil for more than 20 years. He was simple hearted, without guile and could not perceive malice in others. He had to undergo much suffering both physical and moral during the last years of his life.
