Brother Beniamino’s ancestry was from the Italian region of Trentino, people who taught him a great love for work and a silent dedication to the neighbour. Twice he tried to enter our Congregation at Rio Claro: the first attempt was in 1925 when he was sent home because of poor health. The second one was in 1932 and was successful: he was admitted as a candidate for brotherhood. He worked at Rio Claro, Ituiutaba, Fazenda Santana at Corumbataě, Chŕcara Capivari in Campinas, Casa Branca and Barretos.
He was deeply and tirelessly devoted to his work, in the kitchen, in the garden, in any of the house chores. He was also appointed assistant in our middle school in Ituiutaba. He was always very kind and generous to alla the Confreres and the people in general, who admired him for his spirit of total dedication. He was an friendly religious, zealous, engaged and humble. He showed a deep faith, especially when he was teaching catechism to children and adults. His particular charism was that of a “wise” silence. And in this “wise” silence he managed to find moments of contemplation, prayer and reflection. He tenderly loved Our Lady and was very devoted to the reception of the Sacraments.
