As soon as he was ordained, he left for the Mission in China, together with Fr. Pancheri: this was the second expedition at 10 months’ distance from the first. He remained in China for six years, attending to teaching, and directing the little Seminary of Liangkochwang. When he could, he would give himself also to the ministry among the few Christians n the area.
When he returned to Italy, he remained for two years in Udine, and then at the Stimmate, for 30 years. He was a faithful and capable teacher; and a most faithful chaplain to the ‘Seghetti’ Sisters.
In 1965, he began suffering from Parkinson Disiease, which gradually rendered him unable to do anything.
