He was an expert shoemaker and extremely industrious for all services. He was constantly busy from morning to evening, though limping and of weak health. He suffered during the last part of his life because of a rheumatoid arthritis, that caused frequent heart crises. He was assigned to Verona, Pavia, Trento, Gemona and Rome’s S. Croce, where he died.
