During his first year of ordination he followed the course of pastoral theology and obtained the Licentiate in theology while living at St Agatha in Rome. Then he went to live in the newly established parish of the Most Holy Trinity. His good character and his good manners in dealing with the youth made him extremely successful. He remained for four years at S. Leonardo (1970-1974) as Spiritual director, then he went to our community of Parma, but in May 1975 he had to go back to Verona and to the hospital. He had to be operated of a tumour in the brain. He died after seventy days of very painful agony.
