From Tunis, where he was born, after the war 1940-45 he moved with his family to Rome within the parish of S. Croce al Flaminio. Here he met our Congregation, which he then embraced upon entering the Apostolic School of Sezano (Verona). A man of peace and of a mild and happy disposition, he always served the Lord with serenity (even during his long period of illness at San Leonardo), becoming a "builder of fraternity", mainly in the parishes of Southern Italy and also in the nascent Apostolic School "Opera Bertoni" in Battipaglia (1963-64), where he taught his mother tongue, French. He also had excellent artistic skills, attested by the stained glass windows of Santa Croce, Rome, and the terracotta altar of the Opera Bertoni in Battipaglia.
