From the very beginning he showed a distinguished talent for the ministry of the Word and he became a great preacher in many popular missions given in the area of Trento and in other regions of Italy. He preached also numerous retreats to religious communities. He was a superior in Trento and Rome and here he was made a parish priest of S. Croce for four years. He led the group of Stigmatines who established a new foundation in Lunigiana and he was appointed Abbot-Parish-Priest of Ortonovo.
