He left the comfort and ease of his family home in order to embrace the austere life which was lived at the Stimmate. He was weak and delicate of health, and sought to render himself useful in the sacred ministries, and also gave a few parish missions. He truly loved the regular life, and carried out with great exactness his religious practices. He left as an inheritance to the Congregation his entire estate.
