He was assigned to the communities of Pavia, Trento and Stimate. During the First World War he had to go to military service in the health department.
From Stimate he went to Udine, Milan, Parma and Rome. He was always charged with the office of bursar. He stayed longer in Parma.
Sugar diabetes and heart problems drove him to his death in the clinic of the Chieppine Sisters. Many clergy and people who knew him in Parma came to pay their respect to him and participate din his funeral.
