He devoted himself to literary studies and produced prose and verse composition. He taught for many years in the grammar school of the Stimate, revealing himself as an outstanding teacher. With his expertise in spiritual direction he was Master of novices for many years and Spiritual Director of the diocesan Seminary of Verona. He was very much requested for confessions. He died of tracheal TB.
