He entered our Congregation in 1948. Because of his uncommon gifts the superiors sent him to the Biblical Institute in Rome, where he obtained the Licentiate in Exegesis. He was appointed ordinary lecturer of Sacred Scripture at the San Zeno Theological Institute in Verona and at San Pietro Martire Institute of Religious Studies. He lectured also at the Franciscan Theological Institute (San Bernardino). Along the teaching activity he gave his service to the Sacred Heart Province as a Provincial Secretary and as a Legal Representative of the Province (from 1994 to 1997). He was also appointed Provincial Bursar. All these were not easy and gratifying tasks, but he carried them out with dedication, competence and a great spirit of selflessness. In his relationship with people and institutions Fr Giuseppe always manifested traits of human and Christian sensitivity, a gentle character and a deep spirituality that supported him.
He died tragically at the sea while swimming in the area of Marina Romea (Ravenna) on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord.
