He taught for many years in Verona, Udine, Gemona, Belluno and Rome.
He was master of novices in Pistoia (1917-1920). From 1922 he served the congregation as a general bursar, councillor and vicar. As a devout son of St Bertoni he transmitted his spirit by writing a very memorable booklet (1914). He also wrote the Founder’s biography (1922).
He loved the Congregation very intensely and he wrote its chronicles, from the foundation until 1941 (the year of the constitution of the Provinces).
He was Postulator general for the cause of beatification of our Founder, for many years. He worked humbly and modestly, putting into practice the style of St Gaspar: “buseta e taneta”.
After the general chapter of 1958 he chose to live in Rieti, to be useful to that community. Just one week after his arrival there, he died suddenly.
