AGE: 48
He was sent to Udine, while still a student, to help as assistant in the college in 1934. In 1936 he was ordained priest by our confrere Carlo de Ferrari who had just been elected bishop of Carpi. Towards the end of 1936 he left for Brazil. He was assigned to the formation of our professed students in Rio Claro, superior and bursar in Campinas, St Caetano, Casa Branca and spiritual director in Ribeirão Preto and Rio Claro.
While a rector of S. Cruz in Rio de Janeiro, he experienced the first symptoms of the illness that will lead him to the tomb.
He returned to Italy in 1953 to try more efficacious cures. While in Trento he had to be hospitalised in emergency. After receiving the sacraments of the sick he concluded his life with an enviable death. He left a pleasant remembrance of humility and meekness in everybody who knew him.
