He spent the first three years after his ordination in our colleges, then he became assistant in the Parma Oratory (1940-1949), where he left a deep memory of a dedicated work because of his goodness. After going to live at Trento he began to feel seriously ill and this situation accompanied him until his death. He was for some time in Affi and Pavia, then he spent the rest of his life moving from one sanatorium to another and to several hospitals. He showed a shining example of accepting this situation as a school of patience. He was always studious and occupied in something that kept him peaceful and serene.
