He entered our Congregation at Rio Claro where he completed his middle and high school. He had his novitiate and the first year of theology at Ribeirão Preto.
At the end of 1953 he was sent to Italy (Verona), where he completed theology and was ordained a priest. Back to Brazil his first ministry was among our aspirants in Ribeirão Preto. He then spent the rest of his life in the parish pastoral work.
He was a cheerful character and had an inclination to inventiveness and innovation, which led him into some difficulties with the parish communities he served. Notwithstanding this problem, he left always a good remembrance of himself wherever he lived.
In May 1979 he was involved in a serious car accident: his left leg was irreparably smashed and had to be amputated. He nevertheless continued his work in the pastoral field. He later started experiencing health problems due to sugar diabetes. The right leg began to get swollen and the inflammation spread to the whole body without any possibility of cure. He died of acute respiratory deficiency, after receiving his last Sacraments.
