ANTONIO CAUCIGH (novice)
BORN: Prepotischis, UD – 7.7.1850
DIED: Verona (Holy Trinity) – 11.8.1866
AGE: 16
He was frequenting the first year of junior secondary school in the Seminary of Udine when he came to know our Congregation and decided to join us. When he entered our formation house in Verona, his father wrote a formal act of cession of his own son to the Stigmatines. He lived the values of absolute poverty and detachment, entrusting himself completely to the Providence of God who, during the subsequent four years filled him with every grace and blessing. He was a perfect imitator of St. John Berchmans and gave everybody, young and old, a great example of simplicity.
Fr Vincent Vignola wrote his short biography. He was the first fragrant flower of our novitiate.
