Few days after receiving his minor orders, he ran away from his own home early in the morning and went to knock at the door of the Stimate which was still locked.
He taught in the school with great diligence and involvement. He was a devout man and dedicated to many devotions: he filled his days with prayers to his many saints. He was humble and charitable especially towards the sick.
Austere and mortified as he was, he refused to suspend his mortification also during his illness. He died of tuberculosis. He said he was visited by St Joseph who prepared him for the moment of his death.
