During his formation he was dreaming to become a missionary but instead he was asked to work for the education of youth. While frequenting university he kept contact with the Mission office in San Leonardo, making himself available for missionary promotion and giving Mission Sundays. He was one of the three young priests who were involved in the tragic Sunday car accident in Ca’ di David, but managed to survive for twenty days.
While in hospital he gave a great example of patience and courage. When he seemed to make it, a pulmonary embolism suddenly killed him.
