He was an expert cook for many years in Verona, Udine, Pavia, Gemona, Rome and Trento. He was also co-operator of the house bursar, especially in the formation communities.
During the First World War he served in the military and was able to remain faithful to his vocation.
He was a religious of deep piety, spending long hours in front of the Blessed Sacrament and always ready to serve Mass.
He spent his last years in continuous prayer at the Stimmate and San Leonardo in Verona.
He prepared himself for the final encounter with God with patience in illness.
