At the age of 14 he migrated to Philadelphia (Pennsylvania - USA) with his family. After his ordination he worked in all the communities of the States and Canada, but especially at Waltham. He loved liturgy and looked after the altar servers. As from 1976 he was appointed Catholic Chaplain of the hospital and was greatly appreciated by doctors, nurses and patients for his indefatigable commitment.
