He served the congregation as a builder. He had ability as a good foreman and master builder because of the expertise of his work. He was a man of faith and very much eager to nourish his spiritual life through the studying of Christian Doctrine. He was concern to receive the sacraments, not to run the risk of dying without them. God gave him the grace of a holy and exemplary death.
