Immediately after his ordination he left for China, following his brother Gian Battista who left the previous year.  He remained there until 1947. Back to Italy he lived in Verona and Pavia for some years. In 1942 he left for Thailand where he remained until 1959, dedicating himself very much as priest, architect and teacher. 

In November 1960 he was again leaving for the foundation of the new mission in South Africa. He returned to Italy in 1966.

He spent his last 15 years in Verona as bursar and co-operator in the Mission office.
